The Association for Learning Development in Higher Education was founded as a membership association in 2007. Applications are invited for annual membership of the Association from both institutions and individuals.

Institutional Membership
Institutional membership runs from 1st September to 31st August and is £250 per annum (2018/19). Applications and renewals are now being accepted for 2018/19. Benefits include:
> Reduced rate entry to the Annual Conference for members of staff
> Eligibility to apply for conference fee waiver scheme
> Eligibility to apply for the CeP/CeLP Professional Recognition
> Priority booking and reduced fees at ALDinHE CPD events
> The opportunity to contribute to a peer-reviewed collection of quality learning resources through LearnHigher;
> Reciprocal benefits from partner associations in Australia, Canada and New Zealand, through the International Consortium of Academic Language and Learning Developers;
> Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting (one vote per institution);
> Importantly, membership is a public demonstration of an institution's commitment to student learning and the student

Individual Membership
Individual membership runs from September to August. £30 per annum (2017/18). Individuals may choose to support the Association, regardless of whether your institution is a member. Benefits include:
> Priority booking and reduced fees at ALDinHE CPD events;
> Being part of a supportive professional network, as manifested through the LDHEN discussion list and the Journal;
> Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting (one vote per member).
NB. Delegates at the annual ALDinHE conference in April are automatically granted individual membership for the year April to March.
