Description:
This presentation will draw upon our experience as subject librarians at the University of Bradford to highlight some ways in which librarians can use their existing skills to broaden their roles. We have expanded our teaching to encompass the whole learning journey, positioning the library more firmly at the centre of the learning process. We will also share some of our less successful experiments and some of the pitfalls we have encountered. We will offer suggestions as to how other librarians could broaden their range of activities without drastically increasing their workload.
