In 2019 the Association for Learning Development in Higher Education will hold its annual conference at the University of Exeter from 15th – 17th April.
Join us in Exeter for three days of stimulating discussion, inspiring sessions, and even a cream tea or two!
As always, this welcoming conference will include workshops, paper presentations and lightning talks exploring all aspects of learning development theory, practice and policy. This year, we are particularly interested in exploring:
- The theory and practice of Learning Development
- Leadership and management in Learning Development
- Critical and innovative Learning Development practices
The conference begins on Monday 15th April, with an afternoon of workshops reflecting the work of ALDinHE and its various working groups. This year we are also offering a LearnHigher resource swapshop. We invite you to bring along your favourite Learning Development resource or teaching idea to share with colleagues. Tuesday and Wednesday 16th & 17th April will include a full programme of paper presentations and workshops, with two keynote talks.
Keynote Speakers
Our keynote speakers this year are Dr Liz Morrish and Prof. Shân Wareing. Click here for further information on the keynote speakers.
Buddy Scheme
This year, we are introducing a buddy scheme for those attending their first conference. You’ll have an opportunity when you register to tell us if you would like a conference buddy, or if you would like to be a buddy yourself.
Fee Waivers
We will once again be opening a fee waiver scheme for those whose institutions will not fund the cost of a conference place. These will be on an application-only basis. Please click here for further details of the fee waiver scheme.
